JOB PURPOSE
- In line with Company guidelines, the Bartender provides an excellent guest beverage service experience and ensures the profitability of the assigned bar.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Attends Guest’s needs by providing a courteous, friendly, quick, and professional service at all times
- Ensures Guests are not kept waiting for service in the assigned bar and lounge
- Know all recipes specified in the Beverage Menus
- Generates maximum sales and profits
- Trains team members and supervises the work operations in the assigned bar area
- Ensures compliance with all bar-related sanitation and HACCP procedures
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
- Fluent English. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage
- A High School certificate is an advantage
- At least 2 years experience as Bar Tender in the cruise industry or an international 5-star Hotel or similar major resort
- A clear knowledge of electronic cash transacting, Fidelio, and MMS systems is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to work harmoniously in a diverse team
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service
- Certification in Beverage/Food Safety Public Health Protocols/HACCP preferred. Thorough knowledge and understanding of these protocols are very important
VISA & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Current documentation to certify that all medical requirements relating to this position are met
- Basic Safety Training Certificate
- STCW 95 certification
- Valid Passport and when possible a seaman book copy
